Start your day the German way, with goetta in this traditional North German breakfast! 

Goetta Mac N Cheese Bake

16 oz elbow macaroni
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
3 cups milk
1/4 cup butter
2 1/2 Tbsp flour

2 Tbsp butter
1/2 cup bread or graham cracker crumbs

Here's a perfect recipe to start off your weekend the right way! The whole family is sure to enjoy this delicious homemade Mac N Cheese Bake made with Glier's Goetta!

Preheat oven to 350ºF. Cook macaroni according to the package directions. Drain. In another pan, melt butter over medium heat. Then, add flour to butter. Stir. Then, stir in cheese to butter-flour mixture. Keep on low heat until the cheese has melted. On a skillet, cook the goetta. Put macaroni in a 9x13 inch baking dish, then add goetta, and then add cheese. Stir everything together. In a separate pan, melt butter and stir in crumbs to brown crumbs and make the topping. Sprinkle the topping over the macaroni. Bake for 30 minutes. Serve and enjoy!

Goetta Spoon Bread

4 cups milk
1 cup cornmeal
3 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
2 Tbsp butter
3 eggs, separated
1/2 Goetta mini-slab

Preheat oven to 350ºF. In large saucepan, heat 3 cups of milk over medium heat until it bubbles. Simultaneously, in a small bowl, mix together cornmeal, sugar, salt, and 1 cup of milk. Grill goetta slices. Add this mixture to the heated milk and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove saucepan from heat, add baking powder and butter. In two small bowls, whisk egg yolks in one bowl and egg whites in the other bowl. Add egg yolks to cornmeal mixture. Stir. Add egg whites to the mixture. Stir. Cut up and mash the grilled goetta slices. Add goetta to the mixture. Spray non-stick cooking spray to 2 qt baking dish. Put mixture in the baking dish. Bake for 40 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve and enjoy!
